Statistics show that 9,000 out of 70,000 babies born in Lebanon each year require special care. The Neonate Fund, a charitable initiative that supports at risk newborns, was launched in 2011. It was established by Mona Al Khatib, Maya Ghandour, Rada Lozi Sawwaf, Hala Dahdah Abou-Jaber and Marwa Jaber who are dedicated to assisting other families to ensure that all newborns get the medical care they need – regardless of their families’ financial circumstances.
The Neonate Fund organized on December 17, 2015, a fund raising event that elevated the fund to a higher level. Prominent figures from the country and the region joined us for a magical night, featuring the magical voice of Helene Segara, combined with the music played by the famous Guy Manoukian, and spiced up by the voice of Mark Raeidy. Our little angels were sleeping in their NICU Rooms, yet their presence was felt. It was a night to remember, and we are very thankful for our generous donors who ensured another year of support to our tiny little souls.
The Neonate Fund will benefit families whose children are being cared for at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at AUBMC, a newly expanded and renovated state-of-the-art facility staffed with skilled and highly trained health care providers.
